Republican Attorney General Kris Kobach condemned recent vandalism at his Lawrence church where the pastor lobbied the Legislature for a bill banning gender-affirming care and opposed shutting down churches during the pandemic.
Morning Star Church Pastor John McDermott said in a statement that his church was vandalized twice in the last two months for its "Biblical values."
He said the most recent incident occurred on Tuesday night when the side of the church was spray painted well as a monument sign near the church’s parking lot entrance.
