Kobach agrees to delay enforcement of sex-designated driver’s licenses, bathrooms

Attorney General Kris Kobach will ask state revenue officials to refrain from making any more driver's license changes until March 26 to allow more time for those affected to comply with a new state law requiring the document to reflect someone’s biological sex.

Kobach also said he would wait until March 26 to enforce another provision in the law that bars transgender people from using restrooms and locker rooms in government buildings that don’t correspond with their biological sex.

The Kansas Department of Revenue started notifying Kansans last week that driver’s licenses and state-issued identification . . .
