A bill that will create a new sports authority to oversee the new Chiefs stadium and practice facility was introduced Friday and will get a hearing before lawmakers next week as the legislative session moves into its last days.
The bill, introduced in the House, creates a nine-member board that will be mostly appointed by the governor and top legislative leaders and sets out details on how the authority will work.
