Gov. Laura Kelly announced Tuesday morning that Lauren Fitzgerald will be her new press secretary.
Fitzgerald has been working as the governor's communications coordinator, and before that she served as finance coordinator on Kelly's gubernatorial campaign.
She answers to Dena Sattler, who is the governor's communications director.
“I’m honored to continue working for the governor,” said Fitzgerald, who is from Topeka.
“This state has always meant a lot to me and I can think of no better way to serve the people of Kansas.”
