Gov. Laura Kelly on Tuesday named District Judge Lori Bolton Fleming of Pittsburg to the Kansas Court of Appeals, the seventh woman the Democratic governor has named to the 14-member court.
Kelly turned to a judge first named to the bench by former Republican Gov. Sam Brownback in the 11th Judicial District in 2012. The 11th Judicial District includes Cherokee, Labette and Crawford counties.
