The Kansas Democratic Party last year hired a security company that employs the husband of the party's chair.
The KDP last year hired Security Equipment Inc. - based in Omaha, Nebraska, with an office in North Kansas City, Missouri - to install a security system at its new location in Topeka.
The party spent about $3,500 with the company where the husband of party chair Jeanna Repass works as the Kansas City operations manager, according to LinkedIn and federal campaign finance reports.
