Kansas Supreme Court asked to uphold 2021 vaccine law

The Kansas Supreme Court on Wednesday was asked to preserve a 2021 law enacted during a historic special session that shielded workers who refused to get a COVID-19 vaccine because of sincerely held religious views.

The law is challenged by Powerback Rehabilitation, a national clinic with an independent living facility in Leawood that provides physical, occupational, speech and respiratory therapy as well as care for senior patients.
