Kansas GOP picks new executive director

The Kansas Republican Party has picked a former aide to Congressman Kevin Yoder as its new executive director.

The GOP selected Jim Joice to lead the party after working as the political director and press secretary for Mark Hutton's unsuccessful bid for Kansas governor.

The University of Kansas graduate also worked for Kansas Senate Majority Leader Jim Denning of Overland Park.

"We cannot become complacent in our recent success," said Kelly Arnold, chairman of the Kansas Republican Party.

"We must continue to promote not only our Republican values," Arnold said, "but our Kansas values. Jim Joice's Kansas campaign . . .
