Secretary of State Kris Kobach on Wednesday morning revealed a new running mate and new poll numbers showing him with a commanding lead in the Republican primary for Kansas governor.
Embarking on a statewide tour starting in Topeka, Kobach announced Wichita oilman Wink Hartman as his running mate.
Hartman abandoned his campaign last month shortly after the first Republican gubernatorial debate in Wichita.
At the time he dropped out of the race, Hartman endorsed Kobach.
