Democrat Laura Kelly wants to invest in education, transportation, high-speed Internet service and expand Medicaid.

Independent Greg Orman wants to make Kansas an intermodal hub of the nation as the country transitions into a distribution economy.

Those were among the ways the three major gubernatorial candidates said they planned to jump-start the Kansas economy during a candlelit forum held by the Kansas Chamber of Commerce in Wichita Tuesday night.
