Every dog has its day.
And so it was Monday when Gov. Laura Kelly signed a bill permitting restaurants to allow dogs on their patio and allow the furry creatures inside microbreweries.
The bill arose from the case of a Shawnee brewery where dogs had become part of the establishment’s atmosphere – until last year when a state inspector informed management dogs wouldn’t be allowed in the tap room.
Dogs had become an integral part of Transport Brewery, which during the last four years donated nearly $15 . . .
