The Kansas House did an about-face Friday and overrode the governor's veto of 15 budget items, including money for a pregnancy awareness program, unmanned aircraft systems research and a Lawrence children's center.
The House voted 88-34 to override the governor's veto of the budget items when it approved a $10.6 billion state general fund budget as the legislative session neared an end Friday.
