Gov. Laura Kelly is in position to have all of her line-item budget vetoes upheld after the House failed to muster enough votes Thursday to override a package of spending proposals.
The House voted 82-42 late Thursday afternoon to override a group of 15 budget vetoes including $3 million for the Pregnancy Compassion Awareness Program and $1 million for unmanned aircraft systems research, among others.
