The Kansas House on Tuesday approved a bill giving the Kansas Legislature a voice in how vacancies for the U.S. Senate in Kansas are filled.
The House voted 87-36 to pass a bill giving the Legislature the power to help pick not only a replacement for Senate but insurance commissioner and state treasurer.
A similar variation of the bill was passed 31-9
