House Speaker Dan Hawkins' fundraising for insurance commissioner cooled off this year as he reported raising about 21% of what he pulled in last year for his campaign.
Hawkins reported raising about $86,400 for this year through July 23, compared to the $417,300 that he raised for his insurance commissioner race last year. He still has $420,000 in cash on hand.
