A new ad started running Wednesday morning that takes aim at the sources funding the campaign against a constitutional amendment that calls for electing justices to the Kansas Supreme Court.
The ad rolled out by Kansans for Democracy highlights the millions of dollars that are bankrolling the opposition to the amendment, saying the "radical left" is trying to influence who sits on the Kansas Supreme Court.
The amendment would abolish a nine-person screening panel made up of five lawyers elected by their peers and four nonlawyers picked by the governor. The panel recommends three candidates and the governor picks . . .
