Griswold prevails in House 41 primary

Leavenworth Mayor Mike Griswold held onto his lead and prevailed in the Democratic primary for House District 41 after provisional ballots were counted Friday.

Griswold finished the race with 630 votes, followed by Whitney Davis Moulden with 585, according to the Leavenworth County Election Office. Donald Terrien came in third with 85 voters after the canvass was completed.

After Election Day, Griswold led 599-562. The margin widened to 46 votes after advanced mail ballots were counted.

On Friday, Griswold gained two votes, Moulden picked up three and Terrien received an additional vote.
