Gov. Laura Kelly on Monday vetoed a bill requiring physicians to notify women that their medical abortion can be reversed.

"The bill will interfere with the relationship between patients and their physicians," Kelly said in a statement.

"This unwarranted legislation will create confusion and could be harmful to women's health," she said.

"The practice of medicine should be left to licensed health professionals, not elected officials."
