Gov. Laura Kelly on Wednesday signed a bill raising the limits on campaign contributions for the first time in more than 40 years in order to keep up with inflation.
The bill was approved on a 72-52 vote in the House and 26-14 in the Senate.
The bill is an attempt to address concerns that Kansas’ current limits on political donations are unconstitutionally low . . .
