Gov. Laura Kelly is planning a "special announcement" for Monday, just hours after legislative leaders are reportedly planning to talk about the Kansas City Chiefs' plans to move from Missouri to Kansas.
The Sunflower State Journal obtained a copy of an invitation from the Department of Commerce saying an event is planned for 3 p.m. at the address of the Docking Building in downtown Topeka.
Invitees were instructed not to forward or share it with anyone. Those invited to attend were urged to arrive at least 30 to 45 minutes early to allow for parking.
