Kansas Bankers join $1 million campaign against Marshall over credit card interest cap

The Kansas Bankers Association is joining a roughly $1 million ad buy calling out U.S. Sen. Roger Marshall for his support of capping credit card interest rates and a proposal that addresses swipe fees paid by consumers for processing credit cards.

The KBA, which is putting about $250,000 into the campaign, is partnering with the Electronic Payments Coalition in an effort to explain the "harmful effects" of proposed federal legislation it says would restrict access to credit cards offered by community banks.

The groups are highlighting Marshall's support for capping credit . . .
