GOP senators demand budget director withdraw testimony


A group of key Republican lawmakers is demanding that the state budget director withdraw testimony critical of the Senate's Medicaid expansion plan.

Republican members of the Senate Select Committee on Healthcare Access say Larry Campbell is playing politics with his assessment of the Senate Medicaid expansion plan drawn up by Majority Leader Jim Denning.

The four-page letter from Sens. Denning, Gene Suellentrop, Ty Masterson and Molly Baumgardner wants Campbell to rescind testimony that he offered at the Nov. 13 meeting of the joint special committee on Medicaid expansion.
