Former U.S. attorney, law professor urge Supreme Court to uphold rejection of election law

A former U.S. attorney and a law professor have joined together to oppose state election laws that limit how many ballots can be delivered by a third party to an election office and impose new signature requirements for advanced mail ballots.

Former federal prosecutor Stephen McAllister and University of Kansas law professor Richard Levy have filed a friend-of-the-court brief urging the state Supreme Court to uphold a lower-court ruling that found the provisions of a 2021 law violated the state constitution.
