A Seaman School Board member and a former University of Kansas football star says he plans to run for the House seat that will come open with state Rep. Fred Patton's resignation later this month.
Kyle McNorton of Topeka said Monday he plans to run for the House District 50 seat when Republican precinct committee members convene Oct. 14. Patton is leaving office Oct. 16 after serving a little more than four terms.
