The race to take on 3rd District Congresswoman Sharice Davids is escalating with former U.S. Rep. Lynn Jenkins taking sides with a political newcomer in a potential Republican primary.
Jenkins, who just retired from Congress at the end of last year, will host a gathering for Sara Hart Weir on June 23 in Prairie Village for "cocktails and conversation."
"I am honored to support Sara Hart Weir as she explores a run for the 3rd District Congressional seat currently held by Democrat Sharice Davids," Jenkins said in the invitation.
