A federal grand jury on Wednesday indicted a Nigerian national who lived in Olathe with falsely claiming to be a U.S. citizen to illegally vote in elections.
George Olawunmi Johnson, 67, was charged with one count of a false claim to U.S. citizenship, one count of false claim to
U.S. citizenship in order to vote, one count of fraudulent election conduct, and one count of voting by an alien in a federal election.
He is accused of falsely indicating that he was a U.S. citizen while registering to vote in February 2010 in Johnson County.
