Equality Kansas hands out general election endorsements

Equality Kansas, the state's leading advocacy group for LGBT rights, on Wednesday announced it was endorsing Democratic state Sen. Laura Kelly for governor in the general election.

In other races, Equality Kansas backed Democrat Paul Davis in the race for the 2nd Congressional District seat and Democrat Sharice Davids for the 3rd Congressional District.

The group didn't make endorsements in any of the statewide races.

Equality Kansas considers candidates' voting records in determining their commitment to LGBT rights. Other measures include:
