Republican state Rep. Chris Croft is drawing primary opposition from an Overland Park attorney who sits on a local parks board.
Clay Norkey, a member of the Blue Valley Recreation Commission who runs his own law office, has filed to run against Croft in House District 8.
Croft is now in his first term representing the southern Johnson County district after defeating Republican incumbent Patty Markley in the 2018 primary and then defeating Democrat Michele Lobitz with nearly 57% of the vote.
