Coalition opposing abortion amendment places nearly $1 million in ad buys


The coalition opposing a constitutional amendment that would ensure abortion is not a guaranteed constitutional right in Kansas has booked nearly $1 million in ad purchases with the election now seven weeks away.

The national political ad tracking firm AdImpact reports that Kansans for Constitutional Freedom has reserved about $928,000 in broadcast time as of Monday afternoon.

It is targeting about $475,000 for the Wichita market, about $304,000 for the Kansas City market and about $112,000 for the Topeka market, according to AdImpact.

They also have allocated about $36,000 for satellite television purchases.
