Republican attorney general candidate Tony Mattivi has now landed endorsements from prosecutors in the two biggest Kansas counties with new support from Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe.

Howe, a Republican, announced Monday that he was backing Mattivi in the primary campaign for attorney general over state Sen. Kellie Warren and former Secretary of State Kris Kobach.

"Tony spent decades prosecuting terrorists, drug cartels, and murders and enforcing our laws," Howe said in a statement.

"He knows law enforcement and has a proven record of success. No other candidate's record can match Tony Mattivi in the courtroom," he said . . .
