Civil liberties lawyers are asking a federal judge to adopt their proposed injunction bringing the Kansas Highway Patrol under judicial oversight after the state ignored court orders for both sides to settle their differences.

The American Civil Liberties Union is urging U.S. District Judge Kathryn Vratil to adopt its version of an injunction because the lawyers for the state have disregarded her orders to try and reach an agreement on areas in dispute.
