The great political guessing game of 2022 came to an end Wednesday when Republican Attorney General Derek Schmidt named a top aide to U.S. Sen. Roger Marshall as his running mate for governor.
The presumptive GOP nominee for governor, Schmidt tapped Katie Sawyer, Marshall's state director, to join him in his campaign to unseat Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly later this year.
