Less than a week after he dropped his Republican Party affiliation, state Sen. Dennis Pyle of Hiawatha has appointed a treasurer to run for Kansas governor.
Pyle filed the paperwork to appoint a treasurer at 9:11 Monday night, opening the door to raise money for a potential gubernatorial campaign.
