The executive director of the Kansas Board of Healing Arts has resigned from the agency, an official confirmed.

Kathleen Selzler Lippert turned in her resignation to the board's president last Thursday night. The board accepted the resignation Friday.

The board then named its general counsel, Tucker Poling of Prairie Village, as its interim executive director. Poling confirmed the resignation.

"The board wishes Kathleen well in her future endeavors,"  Poling said in a text message.

The circumstances of Selzler Lippert's departure are murky. Efforts to reach her for comment were unsuccessful.
