The American Civil Liberties Union released a letter Thursday, asking Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach to correct bad information telling would-be voters that they need to provide proof of citizenship when registering.
The ACLU says it has found instances on the websites of county election offices and the secretary of state's office telling voters they need to present proof of citizenship when registering at driver's license offices despite a preliminary court ruling ordering otherwise.
