A litmus test for KCC appointees?

Seizing on the debate percolating at the capitol over high electricity rates, Secretary of State Kris Kobach has raised the possibility of a new sniff test for appointees to the Kansas Corporation Commission if he's elected governor.

Shortly after the Senate passed a resolution urging the KCC to keep electric rates regionally competitive, Kobach released a statement on Facebook suggesting that any appointments he makes to the panel would work to keep utility rates down.

"The rates Kansans are forced to pay are not fair. Kansans deserve . . .
