A.G. says universities violating new vaccine law

Republican Attorney General Derek Schmidt is accusing the University of Kansas and Kansas State University of violating a new state law that allows workers to get an unquestioned religious exemption from a new federal vaccine mandate.

In a letter sent to the Kansas Board of Regents on Nov. 24, Schmidt accused KU and K-State of using "intrusive written application materials when evaluating an employee’s request for exemption from a COVID-19 vaccine mandate."
