A new poll out on Friday morning shows Republican Senate President Ty Masterson opening up a seven percentage point lead over Democratic state Sen. Cindy Holscher in the Kansas governor's race.
The survey, released by Emerson College Polling and Nexstar Media, found Masterson leading with 51% of the vote to 44% for Holscher.
The poll surveyed 750 likely voters on Sept. 15-16. The margin of error was 3.6%.
