A city judge in Manhattan who drew the attention of the state's top federal prosecutor about remarks she was accused of making about federal immigration agents has resigned.
Municipal Judge Sarah Barr said in an interview Tuesday that she resigned her position last Friday, June 5.
She decided to leave three weeks after she met with the assistant city manager and the head of human resources.
Barr said she was placed on paid leave while an officials investigated complaints they received about her, including a U.S. Justice Department investigation into whether she made derisive comments about immigration agents . . .
