The chief judge for the 11th Judicial District and the general counsel to the chief justice of the Kansas Supreme Court were the leaders in three rounds of balloting when a screening committee recommended them and one other for a seat on the Kansas Court of Appeals.
Here's a list of all 19 candidates who applied for the position, which will come up open with the retirement Judge Henry Green Jr. this March.
