Finch names staffers for pro tem’s office

Incoming House Speaker Pro Tem Blaine Finch has tapped a former Ottawa city commissioner as his chief of staff.

Finch announced Thursday that Emily Graves of Franklin County will be his top aide.

Graves had served on the Ottawa City Commission for three years before stepping down last summer when she moved outside the city limits.

She works as a program consultant for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and previously as director of materials management for Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa.

She has a master's in organizational leadership from Baker University and a bachelor's in inter . . .
