Governor-elect Laura Kelly announced on Thursday that she has selected a public administration expert from the University of Kansas to serve as interim secretary for the state's social welfare agencies.
Kelly named Laura Howard as interim secretary of the Department for Children and Families and the Department for Aging and Disability Services.
