Insurance Commissioner Vicki Schmidt on Wednesday named Kyle Strathman as the agency's new public affairs manager.
Strathman joins the department after working eight years for outgoing Attorney General Derek Schmidt.
In the attorney general's office, Strathman served in various roles, including deputy communications director and as a fraud investigator in the Consumer Protection Division.
“Kyle has a strong record of service to the people of Kansas,” Insurance Commissioner Vicki Schmidt said in a statement.
“He will play an integral role in our education and outreach efforts to the public about insurance and securities matters.”
