Five major candidates running for Kansas governor gave some insight about their priorities if they’re elected later this year.
Democrats Carl Brewer, Laura Kelly, Josh Svaty and Jim Ward, and Republican Jim Barnett appeared with seven other less well-financed candidates last week at a forum sponsored by the Kansas Press Association where they discussed their plans that would have the biggest effect on Kansans.
Other than Barnett, the press association forum was not attended by major Republican candidates – Jeff Colyer, Wink Hartman, Mark Hutton, Kris Kobach and Ken Selzer – who signed a GOP pledge agreeing not to participate . . .
