Overland Park has landed what is believed to be historically one of the state's largest office prospects with the announcement of a new fintech hub moving to the Kansas City suburbs.

Gov. Laura Kelly on Monday announced that Fiserv Inc., headquartered in Milwaukee, is planning to bring a fintech hub employing 2,000 people to the old Sprint campus site in central Overland Park.

"It's very significant," said Libbey Tucker, senior vice president of economic development for the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce.
