U.S. chamber backs Marshall in Senate race

Republican Congressman Roger Marshall has lined up another endorsement in the Republican primary for the U.S. Senate, this time from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

“Looking ahead, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce remains invested in supporting critical legislation that will drive economic growth and assist job creators,” chamber CEO Tom Donohue wrote in a letter making the endorsement.

“Your positions on these issues earned you this endorsement,” he said.

Marshall votes with the chamber 85% of the time on its issues, according to the chamber’s scorecard. He has has a lifetime score of 90%.

The chamber’s endorsement is the latest one that Marshall has secured during the campaign against Kris Kobach, Bob Hamilton and David Lindstrom.

Marshall has already won endorsements from the the Kansas Farm Bureau, Kansans for Life and the Kansas Livestock Association.
