A Senate panel refused to recommend two of Gov. Laura Kelly's nominees to the Kansas Board of Regents because of concerns about whether they candidly answered a nomination questionnaire.
The Senate Education Committee sent the names of former Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools Superintendent Cynthia Lane and former state Sen. Wint Winter Jr. to the full Senate without a recommendation.
Former BNSF Railway President and CEO Carl Ice was unanimously sent to the Senate with a favorable recommendation from the committee.
It remains to be seen how the committee's action will influence . . .
