A former top aide in the state revenue department and a former state lawmaker are vying to fill a vacant House seat later this week in Topeka.
Freda Warfield, who once worked as an aide to Revenue Secretary Joan Wagnon, and the Rev. Ben Scott are seeking the seat left open by Rep. Vic Miller.
