Good morning everyone and Happy Mother's Day:

The legislative session ended a week ago, but not the politics. It was a busy week that culminated in a judicial sort of Alice in Wonderland where we were asked to disregard what we all know to be true.

We won't assign characters here, but Friday's Supreme Court ruling on Gov. Laura Kelly's appointment to the Kansas Court of Appeals will put the Senate through a confirmation vote Tuesday that basically no one wants to carry forward.

Expect a quick, decisive vote rejecting Judge Jeff Jack's nomination, and . . .
