Good morning everyone:
The headlines — here and elsewhere — aren't good on the COVID-19 front as the number of cases continues spiraling upward and governments across the country are increasingly getting tough about controlling the spread of the virus.
And across Kansas, counties that once opted out of Gov. Laura Kelly's statewide mask mandate last summer are now issuing mask requirements as the number of cases increases in their communities.
Otherwise, it was generally a pedestrian week for news, especially with the holiday and so many politicos taking time off after the exhausting campaign season.
